I’m someone who thrives on challenge and adapts quickly to overcome obstacles by leaning into my strengths. Once seen only as a football jock, I took it upon myself to build my IT skills from the ground up, eventually earning a place on the Cumberland University IT team. That experience pushed me to seek greater academic challenges, leading to my transfer to a school better aligned with my goals. When job opportunities were scarce, I doubled down on self-discipline and passed the CompTIA Security+ certification in just two weeks. That momentum carried over into my first IT role, where I quickly proved myself and began accelerating my degree at Western Governors University—completing 36 credit hours per semester to graduate early. Just nine months after being hired, I was already being considered for a promotion—proof that with focus, work ethic, and adaptability, growth happens fast.
After spending all my free time with the IT department at Cumberland University, they decided to give me an internship. While I was there I assisted with installing new security cameras, Wireless Access Points, and deploying new monitors campus-wide.
Provided extended technical support (up to 1.5 hours per call) for wireless products and developed accurate and up-to-date documentation, both internal and external. Demonstrated adaptability by working cross-functionally with other departments to meet company objectives.
