Dedicated IT professional with expertise in technical support, documentation, and cloud infrastructure management.
After spending all my free time with the IT department at Cumberland University, they decided to give me an internship. While I was there I assisted with installing new security cameras, Wireless Access Points, and deploying new monitors campus-wide.
Provided extended technical support (up to 1.5 hours per call) for wireless products and developed accurate and up-to-date documentation, both internal and external. Demonstrated adaptability by working cross-functionally with other departments to meet company objectives.
Managed on-premise cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless backup to a RAID server across all devices. Hosted multiple services for family members, including cloud storage, VPN connections, and personal websites. Experimented with virtual networking, containerization, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and various operating systems..
Following the creation of my VLAN, I acquired an analog DVR along with cameras. I then ran the camera wiring through the attic to the exterior of my property and connected the DVR to the network. This setup enabled remote access to the security system via Wi-Fi. Additionally, I established a local DNS entry, allowing me to conveniently access the camera network by simply typing "cameras.arpa" into my browser.
